Started this song in a class with the great Bob Franke - http://www.bobfranke.com - at the Swannanoa Gathering.

The "carrot" that helped me finish the song was my decision to use it as an audition piece for Sunday Writers Night at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN. Persons auditioning get the chance to sing 1 verse and 1 chorus of 1 song. I wanted the judges to WANT to hear more.

I guess they wanted to hear more cuz I passed the audition and can play the Sunday Night Writers whenever there's an opening.

I am beginning to see that Wile E. Coyote is the character we laugh at in the Roadrunner cartoons because we are laughing at ourselves. We are laughing at all the things we do, purchases we make, plans we undertake to catch that elusive "roadrunner" in our lives.
