Singing For THEIR Supper events
To promote Hunger Action throughout the PCUSA AND to promote Bryan's new CD - All That Matters - (available online
at http://cdbaby.com/cd/bfm3) Bryan has designed benefit events called "Singing For THEIR Supper".
Features of Singing For THEIR Supper events include:
* a food drive for local/regional food bank(s); * a Bread For The World Offering of Letters; * projected lyrics so folks can "catch" more of the meaning in the songs (Bryan has all songs from All That Matters in presentation software; * inviting area/regional agencies, food banks, community ministries, campus ministries, youth and young adult groups and others in local congregations; * CD sales & other hunger action oriented items (Equal Exchange coffees etc); * either a ticket price or collect an offering for the host presbytery's Cents-Ability. Bryan is in conversation with Bread for the World about having a regional representative at concerts like this. During the concert references would be made to the Offering of Letters which would take place at tables DURING the concert. Here's information about holding an Offering of Letters - http://www.bread.org/take-action/letters.html So, what we are talking about here is a Hunger Action event with music, a Bread for the World Offering of Letters, food drive, offering for Cents-Ability, and worship. All Bryan requires is roundtrip transportation, lodging, and meals. A booking fee is required, but other than CD sales any monies collected would be for the host presbytery's Cents-Ability offering (Two-Cents-A-Meal or Pennies for Hunger). Facilities needed to host a Singing For THEIR Supper event: * worship area or fellowship hall; * tables for Offering of Letters; * laptop computer, projector & screen for lyric projection; * sound system with the following: * 1 microphone on boom stand; * An XLR OR 1/4 inch input for guitar; * 1 stool. For scheduling & booking information contact: Michelle Goodman at: 704/437-3096 OR email Michelle at: booking@bryanfield.net

• TRANS-formances •
Bryan says "One of the most holy things I know how to do is sing with and/or for people. I have a deep & widening catalog of songs about the journey, relationships, the humorous, the holy, the humble, and the human." You can put together what Bryan calls a concert TRANS-formance. The uplifting power of people singing together continues to be one of the greatest showings of love, respect, and unity. Wanna? Huh? How 'bout it?
• Singing Freedom Songs! •
Using his song, "Lyrical Freedom Riders", as a starting point, Bryan inter-twines stories and songs into a participatory concert/worship experience that'll have folks clapping and singing along. Commonly called Freedom Songs, these spirituals and other songs were the cement that held together the struggle for civil rights. Hear why!
